You don't have to curl your hair to top knot it, but I do find that it works easier than straight!
I curl my hair using a curling iron, but, I wrap my hair around the curling iron like you would a wand. (I don't even know how to properly use a curling iron ;) )
Step One:
Section your hair, gathering your hair around the crown
(that's what will go in your ponytail)
Step Two:
Take a smaller ponytail.... & loop it like you would normally.
BUT ---->
When you have enough room for one more loop, stop!
And create a "fan bun" with your last loop, pulling a little less than half of your hair, through the pony!
SEE!
Step Three:
Separate your ends into two sections & pull on both sides.
(This will create the top knot effect)
(I always pull out the front of my hair, to give a little more volume/poof)
Fluff your hair! ;)
Tease it a little...
Voila!!!!!
I love a good top knot and not until recently, did I know how to easily achieve one!
This is the simplest way I have found on how to top knot, but if you have any other ways, please help a girl out!
