Cozy, Casual & Sequin NYE!

IF I were going somewhere for NYE that required "real clothes" this would be a contender in my books! But seeing as I'm going to the lake, maybe I'll just stick to leggings, over-sized tees, vests & I might even dress it up a bit with some sparkly studs! ;)

I love love LOVE any reason to wear sequin. Anything dressy. Heels. I'm your gal! 

What do I love about this outfit? 

Well, who can't love the pants?! They are amazing. If I had an excuse to wear sequin pants everyday, by golly I would toot around in them everywhere! But since I can't really get away with that, I will keep it to special occasions only. I love mixing styles. My sweater is more of a casual look while my pants are special occasion! I love mixing the two! 

Since the winter weather has finally hit Texas, we need to break out those sweaters and wear them quickly because no one knows how long we have! HA!

Why do I love these pieces so much? Well, for one, the leggings, are hands down, the comfiest leggings I have EVER put on. I mean, I feel like I am walking around with a blanket, on my legs.. Like I am so comfortable, I feel like I should look like one of those "people of Walmart", but I look socially acceptable while being that comfy! There are so many different prints of leggings, these are just a look into the holiday capsule! This top- is amazing! This top is designed to go hand in hand with leggings. It's a high/low design, allowing for the booty to be covered! I chose green.... I wonder why?!?! But what I love, is that I've worn this top to class, and I've worn it out to dinner. To class I threw on a necklace, to dinner I added a fur vest. There are SO many ways to transition this top to fit any need! OH- and my fav- it runs a little over-sized, soooo, yet again, my food child doesn't show!

Home for the Holidays!

Kicking off my Christmas break with a festive holiday outfit! Adding red during the holiday season can basically transform any ordinary outfit to be festive for the holiday season!

This winter I am all about mixing prints! Stripes, hounds tooth, leopard (which is a neutral, btw...). I like to push it to the max. I'm also all about transitioning your outfit from daytime to night in the blink of an eye. Did you even notice, I changed my scarf to a necklace, and dressed up the outfit? You could also add some heels, for an even dressier look!

Fun fact: this skirt is from Dillard's, and I feel like I've been used, because they sold it at Target almost immediately after I purchased it! While I couldn't find the Target dupe, I found a similar one, linked below!

Dressin' up a Sweater

I love me an over-sized sweater. Why? Well, why not? They don't show your booty in leggings. They hide the tummy. And they are super comfy! They're an all over win!

How can you get away with wearing an over-sized sweater to work, or to dinner, or even a party?

Throw on some leather leggings, some booties, and you are ready! This is such an easy transitional outfit! You can wear flats during the day, change into heels for the evening & do a bolder lip for the evening! Of course you can always add more jewels!

If you can't tell, this season one of my favorite pieces, is leather leggings! These babies can dress anything up & make you look like you are ready to conquer those holiday parties! What's so great, is that this key piece, can be paired with so many tops, that you can create dozens and dozens of looks, revolving these same bottoms, every time! No one will know you are wearing the same bottoms, because they are such a basic color, they allow for your top & accessories to do the talking! I just wear to a tacky Christmas sweater party, and had my roommate wear her leather leggings, she got so many compliments, while wearing the ugliest sweater, because her bottoms were adorable. I loved the look: tacky top, but I don't care, I'll wear my fancy pants & pull that snowman sweater off!

PS. Can you tell that I am 100%, completely obsessed with coffee? I love it, and cute coffee mugs. Especially when someone makes a pretty design... Caramel Macchiato is my go to!

Note: I prefer my Lysse leggings, because they are such great quality & they have a tummy control band! Almost like built in Spanx, but this band is so comfy, and isn't as tight! Lysse are my favorite leggings, because the quality is so great! I've never had a problem with them! And I wear my leggings almost every day, so I've gone through my fair share of cheap leggings!
